Practical Action (formerly The Intermediate Technology Development Group) was founded by the late Dr. E.F. Schumacher, author of "Small is Beautiful." Practical Action's mission is to build the technical skills of poor people in developing countries, enabling them to improve the quality of their lives and that of future generations. This Web site also highlights titles of interest to the crafts market in the developed world.
